Traffic Advisory: November 18, 2016

During the evening of 11/18/16, from 8:00PM Friday to 7:00AM Saturday, the Toll Plaza work zones will change for staged construction.  Toll Lanes 5, 6 & 7 will be reopened and Toll Lanes 11, 12 & 13 will be closed.  The duration for the closure of Toll Lanes 11, 12 & 13  is 14 weeks.

Newark Bay Bridge (Interchange 14-14C):

Eastbound: No closures scheduled.

Westbound:  Westbound Interchange 14C – 14: Traffic will be reduced to one lane from 9P Friday to 5A Monday between milepost N6.0 – N2.8(Kennedy Blvd.). This closing is necessary to address high priority and emergent bridge deck repairs in the westbound travel lanes. This work has been coordinated with westbound Pulaski and the Bayonne Bridge, both of which will remain open during peak periods Saturday and Sunday. On Tuesday, October 11, 2016, from 9:00AM to 4:00PM, northbound Avenue E will be diverted to Broadway via 48th Street to accommodate asphalt paving operations. Bayonne Police will provide assistance as needed.

Traffic Advisory: Weekend of 9/16

During the weekend of 09/16/16, northbound and southbound Route 440 will be reduced to a single travel lane in each direction and the southbound Jughandle at Pulaski Street will be closed, 9:00PM Friday through 9:00AM Sunday, for bridge girder erection.
In addition, overnight, Friday night into Saturday, 11:00PM to 8:00AM, and Saturday night into Sunday, 10:00PM to 8:00AM, Route 440 will be detoured through the area. During the overnight detour periods, northbound Route 440 traffic will be directed around the work area via Pulaski Street to Port Jersey Boulevard and back to northbound Route 440 and southbound Route 440 will be directed to Avenue C in Bayonne. Traffic Advisory: 09/09/16

During the evening of 09/09/16, Toll Lane 7 (exiting the Turnpike coming into Bayonne) will be closed and merged into one work zone with Lane 5 & 6.  This revised work zone will be in place for approximately 10 weeks.

Traffic Advisory: Weekend of September 10-11, 2016

During the weekend of  09/10-09/11/16, NJ Transit Light Rail Service between 34th Street Station in Bayonne and Danforth Avenue Station in Jersey City will be maintained via NJ Transit bus service in support of New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s Interchange 14A Improvement Project. During this period, new bridge beams will be erected over the NJ Transit and Conrail train tracks requiring train service to be temporarily halted. Traffic Advisory: Weekend of 08/26/16

PART ONE: TOLL PLAZA
During the weekend of 08/26 – 08/28/16, Toll Lanes 3 & 4 will reopen and Toll Lanes 5 & 6 will be closed to accommodate staged construction. Toll Lanes 5 & 6 are expected to be closed for 10 weeks. In support of the Toll Plaza work, northbound Avenue E will be temporarily reduced to a single lane, Friday night 8:00PM to Sunday afternoon at 3:00PM, between 52nd Street and the Toll Plaza to implement the change.  This work will be supported by Bayonne Police. Please review the following graphic below for details:
