October 2017 – Other New Jersey Turnpike Work

The following closures are scheduled on the Turnpike Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension:

For the weekend of 10/13/2017:

Newark Bay Bridge (Interchange 14-14C):

Eastbound: No closures scheduled.

Westbound:   Interchange 14A – 14: Traffic will be reduced to one lane from 9P Friday to 5A Monday between milepost N2.3 – N0.0. This work has been coordinated with westbound Pulaski Skyway and the Bayonne Bridge, both of which will remain open during peak periods Saturday and Sunday. This closing is necessary to address high priority and emergent bridge deck repairs in the westbound travel lanes.

 

Westbound:  No closures scheduled.

Jersey City (Jersey Avenue – Interchange 14C):

Eastbound:  Interchange 14C-Jersey Avenue: Traffic will be reduced to one lane from 8P Friday to 5A Monday. These closings are necessary to address high priority and emergent bridge deck repairs and resurfacing, which are required to maintain the eastbound roadway and shoulder lane during the Pulaski diversion

Westbound:  No closures scheduled.

Motorists can call 511 from any phone (Listen for the initial voice prompt and ask for traffic conditions. Motorists can ask for a specific Highway, City, or even a point of interest. Residents of Newark / Essex County and Kearny / Hudson County can monitor traffic conditions by accessing Turnpike webcams at http://www.state.nj.us/turnpike/cameras-and-signs.html, and http://www.511nj.org/cameras.aspx.

For the weekend of 10/20/2017:

Newark Bay Bridge (Interchange 14-14C):

Eastbound: No closures scheduled.

Westbound:   Interchange 14A – 14: Weather back-up for previous weekend. Traffic will be reduced to one lane from 9P Friday to 5A Monday between milepost N2.3 – N0.0. This work has been coordinated with westbound Pulaski Skyway and the Bayonne Bridge, both of which will remain open during peak periods Saturday and Sunday. This closing is necessary to address high priority and emergent bridge deck repairs in the westbound travel lanes.

 

Westbound:  No closures scheduled.
